Summary
Your notes stay on your device. There are no accounts, no tracking and no analytics. The app doesn't upload your notes to any server.
What the app does
- Stores your data locally. Notes, categories, tags, images you add, and your appearance settings are saved in your browser's storage on this device.
- Lets you export and import. You can save your notes to a file and load them back whenever you choose.
- Offers optional auto-backup. If you turn it on (Chrome or Edge), the app writes a copy of your notes to a folder you pick.
- Opens links you click. Links in your notes open in a new tab.
What the app doesn't do
- No accounts or sign-in. You don't give us a name, email or any personal details.
- No uploading. Your notes are never sent to us or anyone else.
- No analytics, ads or tracking. No cookies, trackers or third-party scripts.
- No selling or sharing. We don't hold your data, so there's nothing to sell or share.
- No encryption. Notes aren't password-protected or encrypted by the app.
- No cross-device sync. Your notes live only in the browser you use.
Where your data is stored
Everything is kept in your browser on this device. Clearing your browser's site data, or uninstalling the app, will delete your notes. We can't recover them for you, so export or back up anything important.
Exports and backups
Files you export, and any backup folder you connect, are yours. They are saved where you choose and are never uploaded by the app. Keep them somewhere you trust, as they contain your notes in readable form.
Keeping your notes safe
Because notes aren't encrypted, anyone who can use your device or browser profile could read them. Use a device lock screen and, if you can, full-disk encryption.
Links and hosting
Websites you open from a link in your notes are run by others and have their own privacy practices. The app itself is delivered as static files by its web host, which may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and request time). Those logs are outside the app's control and never include your notes.
Children's privacy
The app collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If the app's behaviour changes, this page will be updated and the date above will change.
